Casa Papelillo is a private oceanfront villa near Careyes — fully staffed, set on the cliffs of Chamela Bay in Costalegre (Costa Alegre), 20 metres from the Pacific. Its 180-degree ocean view is uninterrupted — no other house in sight. The sun sets into the Pacific straight ahead of the terrace, and from November to February humpback whales breach and swim in the bay below. Five suites, twelve guests, a staff of four: a luxury villa rented whole.
Designed by AD100 architect Alex Pössenbacher, with interiors by Amathea, the house merges local craftsmanship with understated elegance: hand-polished stucco walls, natural stone, and thatched palm palapas that rise like living sculptures — a space where art, nature, and time coexist. It sits on the edge of the UNESCO Chamela–Cuixmala Biosphere Reserve, with private access to four beaches.
